Continuous Sanitization & UV Stabilization

Upon dissolving in water, TCCA hydrolyzes into hypochlorous acid (HOCl) and cyanuric acid. Cyanuric acid acts as a natural UV stabilizer, preventing the breakdown of active chlorine by sunlight in outdoor pools and open cooling towers.

The 200g slow-dissolving tablet provides constant, controlled release chlorine residual (1.0 to 3.0 ppm free chlorine) for up to 7 to 14 days per tablet in erosion feeders or skimmers.

Standard Industrial Dosage

ApplicationRecommended Dosing
Commercial Swimming Pools1.5 – 3.0 g / m³ water (Daily)
Cooling Tower Water Disinfection2.0 – 5.0 ppm residual
Sewage / ETP Effluent Sanitization10.0 – 20.0 ppm
Textile Bleaching & Anti-Shrink0.5 – 2.0 g/L

Packaging, Handling & Storage

  • Packaging Options: 25 kg and 50 kg UN-approved HDPE drums with inner plastic liner.
  • Storage Conditions: Keep in a cool, dry, well-ventilated dedicated chemical warehouse away from moisture, acids, and organic materials.
  • Shelf Life: 24 months when stored dry in sealed containers.
  • Handling Safety (GHS Class 5.1 Oxidizer): Strong oxidizer. Wear dust respirator, goggles, and gloves. Never mix with ammonia or acidic liquids.
Quality Assured: High-density pressed 200g tablets resist premature crumbling, ensuring uniform dissolution without chalking.

Frequently Asked Questions: TCCA 90% (Trichlor)

Expert technical answers on dosing, chemistry, handling, and application performance.

Q1. What is TCCA 90% and what physical forms are available?

TCCA (Trichloroisocyanuric Acid, CAS 87-90-1) is an efficient dry organic source of available chlorine (≥90.0%). Available in 200g slow-dissolving tablets, 8–30 mesh granules, and fine powder.

Q2. What is the recommended dosing of TCCA in swimming pools and cooling towers?

For swimming pools, 1.5 to 3.0 g/m³ daily maintains free available chlorine at 1.0–3.0 ppm. In cooling towers, erosion feeders maintain 0.5–1.0 ppm continuous residual.

Q3. Why is TCCA preferred over sodium hypochlorite (liquid bleach)?

TCCA has >90% available chlorine, is stabilized with cyanuric acid against UV sunlight breakdown, and does not lose strength during warehouse storage.
